Lift it up! The 2017 harvest season left European farmers struggling with mixed weather and difficult condi- tions with lodged crops and wet fields. These are exactly the conditions where strong grain lifters come into their own. ” Minimizing losses. Strong helpers [in stormy weather!] Use grain lifters – boost your productivity 왎 Lifters significantly reduce losses in down crop 왎 Lifters reduce overall machine wear, because no soil will enter the combine when cutting too low 왎 Lifters reduce cutter bar losses in short-stemmed grain and low-hanging ears 왎 Lifters significantly enhance the crop intake and threshing results by optimizing the material flow 1 – 2 – 3 seconds. Lifter attached. Steffen Peil, western Germany • farms a 150ha family business • propagates spinach seed • 1 Fendt combine | 7.70m work width “I set very high standards for the machines I use. So, if it takes just a few minutes to attach or remove all grain lifters from a 7.70m cutter bar, those lifters got to be of a very high stan- dard.” Find all user testimonials at www.groupschumacher.com Watched this yet? kinked SlimProfile WaveTrack Security label In 2018, Schumacher is going to introduce the new standard ASL grain lifter. The new model stands out for its different styling that sets it apart from the previous models. The new design falls into three aspects. The focus is on the actual skid. This was reinforced and given a wavy design which results in a substantially longer service life. The lifter profile, too, has changed. Its flattened end is kinked now to enhance the crop flow into the cutter bar. The type label has a holographic security sticker that identifies the lifter as a genuine SCH® ORIGINAL product. This label signals users that they have a quality product and can expect the typical Schumacher quality and service. The new ASL supersedes the existing standard ASK grain lifter but offers full back- ward compatibility with all previous models. The new grain lifter fits all popular cutter bar models and is available at dealership outlets from 2018. Higher workrates Wider harvest windows Quieter running More output One CUT ahead! ” The system is very robust. ” Really reliable, especially in wet conditions. ” My high expectations were more than met. The conditions here are usually wetter and the weed infesta- tion is higher. So the cutting system must do a very good job. On top of that, the Schumacher system copes much better with pushed soil.” “Opting for the EasyCut cutting system proved an excellent decision for us, because especially in wet conditions our machines are really put through their paces. It is the typical face-up, face-down arrangement of the Schumacher sections that works perfectly for our seed propagating conditions. This system gives an absolutely reliable cut.” • agricultural enterprise • 2 New Holland axial flow combines • 10.50m cutting width • each machine combines 600ha Manager Christian Hinz: “When we switched to the Schumacher system we had clear expectations. We wanted a much better cut, especially in wet straw, but also less wear. Now we have nearly completed our first season using the Schumacher cutting system and our verdict is - excellent! Our operator Gunnar Warnke, too, will no longer do without Alle Statements der Profis auf it.” www.groupschumacher.com Find all user testimonials and farmer interviews at www.groupschumacher.com SCHNITTpunkt/4 www.groupschumacher.com
Harvest time - the clock is ticking! S w The Schumacher cutting system in the US Rob Ewoldt, Rafter E. Ranch, Davenport, Iowa, USA Ron Thompson, Kasey Sander, Jeff Corlis, GROUP SCHUMACHER North America ”A difference like day and night. The Ewoldt family are corn and soybean growers in Iowa, USA. A board member of the Iowa Soybean Association since 2015, Rob listened very closely when friends were praising the Schumacher cutting system, reporting that the sections and the cutter bar offered a resistance to wear and a level of quiet running that was second to none. And so he decided to make the switch and fit the system to his 9.10m Flex header. i t c h n o w NEW NEW NEW Order now! The catalogue with all EasyCut II conversion kits is now available. Inc., Casey, Iowa, USA ”Simply better. Stan Kading and his two sons Ash and Alex each farm about 6,000 acres of corn and soybean in Iowa, USA. They switched to min-till farming many years ago. This explains why partly unrotten stalks from the previous crop are still in the field when soybean is harvested. “When we combine beans in the time between mid- September and mid-October, the cutter bar sections are cutting bean stems and corn stalks at the same time. And honestly, I don’t know of any cutting system that is up to this Ash Kading in corn stalks kind of job and that does it as reliably and smoothly as the Schumacher system.”
